3 Halloween Activities you can do at Home!

In the spirit of Halloween, here are 3 at-home activities that support fine motor skills, creativity & your imagination! All activities below can work for any age group with suggested add-ons if you’re looking for more! We can’t wait to see your creations, don’t forget to tag us on Instagram @goose.kids! 
1. Tissue Ghosts 
What you need:
Pom poms in any color (if you have white that works best)
Face Tissue or Tissue paper
Hot glue
Sharpie or black marker
Scissors
1. Lay your tissue out on a flat surface, if not already a square shape trim it into a square
2. Put a dot of hot glue on the top of the Pom Pom
3. Attach glue side of Pom Pom to the center of the tissue 
4. Apply pressure to ensure it attaches
5. Once dry flip the tissue over and attach another Pom Pom to the top (on the outside of the tissue this time) you now have a ghost!
6. Take a marker to add eyes, and repeat for as many ghosts as you like! 
Add-on: apply glitter to the bottom edge of tissue with hot glue for extra sparkle!
2. Apple Pumpkins
What you need:
Apples
Orange paint
Sharpie or black marker
Green marker or paint 
Paper
1. Cut your apples in half 
2. Apply orange paint to entire flat surface of the apple
3. Use green marker or paint to add stem of pumpkin to drawing
4. Stamp onto piece of paper!
5. Use black marker to draw on jack-o-lantern shapes onto each pumpkin 
6. Repeat to create as many pumpkins as you’d like! 
Add on: apply glitter to jack-o-lantern faces for extra sparkles or use green pipe cleaners for your stems!
3. Spooky Soup (our personal favorite)
What you need:
Natural found materials from your community (flowers, leaves, sticks, rocks etc.)
Food dye
Glitter
Large spoon 
Water
Large pot
1. Explore outside and collect your natural materials 
2. Fill a large pot with water and add in your findings
3. Add in food dye to create your spooky color (we love using purple here)
4. Sprinkle in glitter & mix it all together!
Add on: if you have an outdoor space you can serve your soup into bowls and have a soup party! You can also freeze chunks of your soup for more play later!
